Here are the Visalus purchases from individual credit/debit card accounts compiled from the records subpoenaed from the company.
The records show that $230,801.04 in purchases were made of Visalus. Given that the PHCA did not have the funds to afford the paid positions of Stephanie Serda and Spencer Moody as stated in testimony, how did the PHCA come up with the money to purchase $230,000 in Visalus? The answer is that it was paid for by Jason using a variety of his, Kristie’s, and Dawid’s credit cards and bank accounts. Obviously, these individuals could not have purchased such large amounts so fast without having the charges reimbursed on their personal credit cards so they could order more Visalus. The same is true with the PHCA purchases. Once some money came into the PHCA accounts, Jason was able to use them to purchase Visalus as well.
The selling of the Visalus on eBay was not where the profit for the fundraiser came from, especially once the postage was figured into the mix, the profit came from the commissions paid by the company that produced Visalus. Logically thinking about this, it should be easy to see that they did not profit $230,000 on selling Visalus over a four-month period. Jason was convicted of stealing all of it; all of the money that went to reimburse people for their Visalus purchases on behalf of the PHCA.
