More from Channa Beard. She states that he ran them off the board so he had a sort of free reign of theft. So, her reality seems to be different from what happened. Anita was thrown off for breaking the rules. Stephanie quit. This was all after she was asked to volunteer to help save the center and would not. Another funny thing is that besides the $4,000 festival change theft that ended up being verified by Douglas Kinder, there is not a single accusation of theft by the State after the Serda family was gone. Now she even makes a rare, “we are only after Jason” comment.
Pg. 1040 Channa Beard “He is the only one on trial today. So, regardless if you think Ms. Koester or other individuals of the PHCA may have been involved in this, there’s only one person that we’re here for today.” Interesting. Seems to be implicating others.
Now for the Defense Attorney Smith. Pg. 1043 Smith “I’m also sorry that we have a medical account that everyone keeps talking about that is obviously poorly named. If this was called the extra money account or the rainy day fund or something else, we may not be having this conversation.” It shows that even the defense did not pay attention to why that account was called the medical clinic account. Again, when it was reopened at PNC it was called the investment account. Pg.1047 Smith “So I leave you with something Ms. Clifton said in her testimony, even though I told you I wouldn’t tell you what people testified to. She said you’re right, unaccounted for does not mean improper.”
Now for the lies. Pg. 1050 Anderson “Its interesting aspect to the Visalus aspect of it because it was all cash transactions. I mean, that’s what the whole aspect of everything that was there. It was all done by cash.” Newsflash, all of the Visalus was purchased with over $200,000 on credit and debit cards. Over $200,000 was paid through PayPal. So what you meant to say is that no cash was used for Visalus, but Mr. Craig did pay the people who were owed money in cash. This is a cash accounting system that is common and not illegal. Pg. 1052 Anderson “Basically he got up there and said Kristie Koester lied about everything. I mean, we had her on the witness stand I don’t know how long, how many questions we asked. I know I sort of drone on during the whole thing. I went through so many checks and so many deposits with her. And every time she lied, according to the defendant. Because she said she deposited all those things. So why would she lie? He’s saying she got up there and lied and lied and lied.”
Back to Jason’s statement about Kristie and deposits. For the records the word lie or insinuation of her telling a lie never happened. Pg. 886 Smith “Let’s address the elephant in the room. Would you have made deposits in that account?” Craig “It’s funny because I don’t remember her ever making deposits at all. I was our financial guy at home. I paid everything. Went to the bank. She worked. If I was lazy, which I was at the time, I was a big boy, hey, could you put this in the bank or whatever, yes.” Smith “Were cash deposits made?” Craig “Oh yeah.”
Vicious. Undoubtedly Jason said she lied and lied and lied. The person who typed the transcripts must have missed that part.
