Post 40 – Trial – Kristie Koester (part 7)

Smith “We also saw a streak of a lot of cash deposits, cash withdrawals. Was there a time that you were, at least you and Jason, were very into Visalus?” Koester “We did Visalus before it got brought to the community center.” Smith “So you were already generating commission and things like that before it was part of the community association?” Koester “Yes.”

Remember the comment from Judge Reger about this fundraiser being solely for the purpose of the PHCA. Not true.

Jason took over Stephanie’s duties. This is testimony about compensation. Pg. 625 Smith “Okay. And to the beat of your knowledge was Jason ever paid?” Koester “No.” Smith “To the best of your knowledge was he ever approached about being paid?” Koester “Yes.” Smith “Let’s talk about that’s little bit. So who, if you know, who approached him about being paid?” Koester “It was brought up several times at board meetings.” Smith “And ultimately did he pass on getting paid or did the board pull their willingness to pay? What happened with that?” Koester “He said he did not want to be paid for the stuff he was doing.” Pg. 626 Smith “Let me take you back. Did you live in Illinois?” Koester “Yes.” Smith “Did he own any business while he was there?” Koester “Yes.” Smith “What was the nature of the business?” Koester “It was a sports card shop.” Smith “Do you know how he secured the funding to purchase that?” Koester “It was a lotto ticket that was a winning lotto ticket that I scratched and won.” Smith “So at some point the State of Illinois gave you or him money as a result of this lotto ticket?” Koester “Correct.”

Now time for more Anderson games.

Pg. 641 Anderson “Well, the Visalus was also a fundraiser that was done by Mr. Craig and you before it was taken to PHCA?” Koester “A fundraiser, no. It was employment for extra money.” Anderson “As a profit maker that you then took to the Perrysburg Heights?” Koester “I didn’t take it.” Anderson “Did you guys stop doing your own Visalus?” Koester “Yes.” Anderson “When did you stop doing Visalus?” Koester “When we used to do it through the center.” Anderson “And when was that?” Koester “It was like 2013.” Anderson “Well, then why were Visalus commission checks being put in your account in 2013?” Koester “Because that’s how more product had to be purchased.” Anderson “You weren’t purchasing product. Do you have proof you purchased product out of your account?” Koester “I’m sure the Visalus records were brought up.” This is when no actual records were had, but we have them now.
